Dear friends,

It was our pleasure to serve you at Toujours Provence! Hats off to the awesome music by Djangolaya and Chef Erik’s incredible dinner. And honorable mention to guests who took to the dance floor!! If you enjoyed the evening, please take a moment and write a review on Google or Facebook! Your reviews help us bring high quality events!

Next up, the Goose Creek Players will be presenting “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder Written in 1938, Our Town depicts life in a small New England village. It is a poignant and thought provoking play that invites the audience to reflect on the preciousness of life and the profound beauty hidden in the everyday. Tickets are available at www.goosecreekplayers.com

And we are very excited about hosting a Saint Cecilia Day Ball on November 15. Saint Cecilia Day Ball’s were an institution to themselves in colonial and antebellum Virginia. We are pairing an exquisite dinner with English Country Line Dancing, including Virginia Reels. We have amazing musicians (cello, mandolin and hammered dulcimer) as well as couples from the English Country Dance Society at Glen Echo to provide some fun instruction. If you are dance challenged like me, a generous serving of my apple toddy will loosen the stiffest joints! Due to space limitations, are only seating 40 guests for this event. An invitation will be forthcoming soon!

Lastly, I am working with Professor Mark Janello of the Johns Hopkins University Peabody Conservatory to pull together a December recital featuring arias from Handel’s Messiah! Details to follow!
